Militants attack 35 killed on Pak-Afghan border
Pakistan News / Bajaur – At least 35 militants were killed when security forces repulsed their attacks at Kharkai and Binshahi border area in district Dir official sources said, E Pakistan News Reported.
Talking to E Pakistan News Staff the ISPR divisional head Lt. Col Arif said that hundreds of Afghan militants attacked security forces in Kharkai and Binshahi area when they were setting up check posts on the border.
He said the Pakistan army, Frontier Corps and volunteers of a local militia took part in operations against militants who had crossed the border. “This time militants have left dead bodies of the killed terrorists inside the Pakistani territory, “the ISPR spokesman said.
About security forces` casualty he said by the race of Allah none of its jawan had been hurt. The report could not be confirmed through independent sources as the border area had been without communication system.
Clashes between the Pakistani army and militants from across the border at Kharkai and Binshahi top in Dir Lower have become a routine and on Sept 24 officials here had claimed killing of 15 militants. Two personnel of security forces were killed while three others had injured in that clash.
The ISPR spokesman said that personnel of the Paksitan army that had launched successful offensive in Swat had been deployed on the Pak-Afghan border at Miskini Darra and Binshahi Darra.
He said that militants were carryng out attacks on Pakistani security forces which were being repulsed by the later. On Sept 15 a suicide bomber had blew himself up at Sadbar village not very far from the Pak Afghan border at Miskini Darra. The blast had killed 45 people and injured 100 others when they were offering a Funeral prayer
