No Militant wing accepts in any party; PM Gilani

MULTAN:-

                        Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani vow’s to take across the board action against anti-social elements without showing any kindness to them for reinstate peace to Karachi.

The Prime Minister Gilani said this while speak to a large gathering of people including notables of the area, party workers and office bearers at the Circuit House.

Gilani said that any criminal, terrorist, or militant suspect if found responsible of killing innocent citizen in Karachi would be strictly punished.

Prime Minister said “we would not accept militant wing in any party”.

Prime Minister articulated the resolution to remove the sense of lack of the people of under-developed areas, which remained deserted in the past.

Yousuf Raza Gilani said that there was a sense of deficiency among the people of southern Punjab.

The people wanted their rights sheltered and “we will support them to remove their six-decade long sense of withdrawal. It is our responsibility to act in harmony with their ambitions,”

PM said that some people were issuing statements to decline the stance of the people of southern Punjab. Some people had objected to the word ‘Seraiki’ but flower would give fragrance no matter what name it was given.

The Prime Minister Gilani said that the government was moving forward in the right direction and would solve all the problems of people.

Five terrorist arrested from Islamabad

Islamabad:-

                       At least five terrorist suspects arrested from a local Hotel located in Abpara most busy area of Islamabad, E Pakistan News Reported.

Police raid in a Hotel and Sector G-6/2 and at least five captured the culprits. Police officials told that they have minded to attack on the Last Friday of Holly Ramadan.

Police recovered a suicide jacket, hand grenade and foreign currency from them.

Police took in own custody and shifted in undisclosed location and start the investigation also

Farzana Raja met Chinese Voice Foreign Minister

BEIJING:-

                   Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Farzana Raja discussed with Chinese Voice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin on bilateral achievements and social sector.

Chinese Vice-Minister cherished the efforts of BISP regarding poverty improvement in Pakistan. The BISP has realized marvelous success in a short span of time, said Chinese Foreign Minister.

He assured that China would continue supporting Pakistan’s social and economic development as Pak-China friendship is endless.

He was of the opinion that survival and success of BISP is an indicative of the significance of the present government of Pakistan towards socio-economic development of its nation.

He said that Chinese government would support business and corporate sector to invest in Pakistan.

The Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister lauded the efforts and sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism.

He said that Pakistan is a frontline state in the international war on terror and has suffered a lot of problems because of this.

He said that China is ready to offer assistance to Pakistan and would also call the world to pay attention to Pakistan’s vital role in international war against terrorism.

Farzana Raja thanked the Chinese Government and people for supporting Pakistan during floods and said China has been an all-weather friend of Pakistan.

CJ administers oath to newly appointed AG

ISLAMABAD:-

                           Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Saturday administered the oath of office to newly appointed auditor general Akhtar Buland Rana, DawnNews reported.

Earlier today, Chief Justice Iftikhar accepted the appointment of Mr Rana after the Presidency defended it in a written reply to the chief justice, DawnNews quoted sources as saying.
The Presidency had submitted a written reply late on Friday to a letter written by Chief Justice Iftikhar regarding the nomination of Mr Rana to the office.
The chief justice had sought the government’s account on the raft of charges levelled against Mr Rana.
The allegations include holding the passport of another country, two national identity cards and sexual harassment of a woman.
The chief justice had  asked the President to explain in writing how could such an individual be appointed on such an important position because once appointed, he cannot be removed — a stipulation in the Constitution (Article 209).

Mr Rana was appointed the auditor general on August 23 for a four-year term

Salman Taseer’s son Shahbaz kidnapped from Lahore

LAHORE:-
                      Shahbaz Taseer, the son of slain Punjab governor Salman Taseer, was kidnapped in Lahore on Friday, police and the family said.
Four men on motorbikes intercepted Shahbaz Taseer in his car in the upscale Gulberg area and took him to a nearby street before whisking him away, police said, quoting witnesses.
“Shabhaz was out with a friend when four unidentified people kidnapped him,” his brother Shehryar Taseer told Reuters.
“Our family has been receiving threats from the Taliban and extremist groups,” he said, adding they could be behind the abduction.
No one has yet claimed responsibility.
The governor, Salman Taseer, was killed by his own bodyguard early this year after he came out in support of Aasia Bibi, a woman accused of committing blasphemy

Gilani approved Operation in Karachi

PM made the decision in the meeting of Sindh Government which was discussed the law and order situation in the Pakistan Biggest city Karachi.

The Meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday. He said now time to take action against Anti peace elements that were destroyed the peace of the city.

Prime Minister stated that there is no need of Pak Army to settle peace in the city. Pakistan Rangers and police can handle the situation of the city.

Manzoor Wasan – Sindh Home Minister said that in the first phase of the operation carry out in nine areas of the city include Lyari Town, Korangi Area, Qasba Colony, and Kathi Pahari.

Manzoor Wasan also ordered the Rangers and Police for action against criminal suspects and make security for the citizens.

More then 100 citizens were killed in last week in the month of Holy Ramadan. Citizens of the city are not look happy due to violence in the city.

Karachi life cripples on ‘day of mourning’

KARACHI:-

                      Karachi faced a complete shutdown on Tuesday as traders, transporters and fuel station owners decided to keep their regular operations closed after the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) announced that a ‘day of mourning’ would be observed against the ongoing wave of violence that has claimed nearly 100 lives in less than a week.
Moreover, four people were killed and two others injured in incidents of violence in the city on Tuesday morning, DawnNews reported.
Two bodies trussed up in gunny bags, bearing torture marks and gun shots, were found dumped in Pak Colony and at Orangi Town’s Qasba Mor.
Separately, a resident of the Marwari Lane was kidnapped, shot at, and thrown in the Lyari river. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital subsequently.
In another incident, two people were injured when their car came under attack by unknown gunmen in the city’s Gulastan-i-Johar area.
The associations of transporters, wholesale and retail markets and fuel stations on Monday evening announced one by one that they would stay away from regular business on Tuesday, blaming police and security administration for failing to protect their businesses in such a situation.

Only two weeks back life in the city had come to a halt due to the shutter-down strike mainly called by the nationalist parties against the restoration of the 2001 local body system that also witnessed armed and arson attacks.
